About Me

My name is Tina and I’m a family- food- fitness- health- fun -obsessed college student 🙂

I’m originally from Washington D.C/Maryland but have lived in Seattle for the past 13 years. I’m a west coast girl at heart!

I have four amazing, beautiful, fun siblings who share my love of food, exercise, and fashion (at least some of them do!)

Bianca, Stephen, Grace, and I

Andy and I

Andy and I

Two amazing parents who do so much for me!

And I can’t forget my beautiful puppy, Maggie!

My family loves to travel, and I have dreams of traveling the world, eating every kind of food, and writing about it as I do!

I have a passion for exercising and living well in general. Eating naturally is a priority for me, and I created this blog as a way to not only stay in touch with friends and family, but challenge myself to be creative in the kitchen while living in a dorm in college! Probably over the past year or two, I have gotten very interested in cooking and food. I find myself searching for recipes, dreaming up new dishes, reading food blogs, and generally just behaving like a foodie 🙂 I come from a Peruvian family, where food is the center of every party and get-together. We celebrate the good times, happy times, and any time with food. My entire family enjoys being in the kitchen, especially my sisters and I! We gladly took charge of making weekly meals, baking varying desserts, and throwing dinner parties for our family and friends.

Food is definitely a focus of this blog, so here are some of my favorite eats I’ve had this past year:

STP60211Fresh summer raspberries

STP60469Berry and feta salads

STP60593Numerous Mexican feasts

STP60618Frozen yogurt+sunset=perfection

STP60655Homemade pizza nights

STP61002Fresh cinnamon rolls

STP61024Mini Pavlovas

STP61017Carrot Cake Cupcakes

STP61052Yucca Fries

STP61062Crab Cakes

STP61161 Sweet Potatoes

And countless bowls of oatmeal.

I am eager to see where this blog takes me, and I know I’ll have tons of fun as it goes along!

**Some of you may be wondering where the name of my blog comes from. I’m a student at the University of Maryland, and we are the Terrapins, aka the Terps!
